International visitor campus tours
Join one of our international visitor campus tours and experience what makes Loughborough University a top global university to study at.
These tours are designed specifically for prospective international students, giving you the chance to explore our award-winning campus and learn more about life at Loughborough.
You will have the chance to visit our stunning campus throughout the year, with tours scheduled every month. Please choose a date and time that suits you from the booking form below.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate bespoke tour requests. If there isn't a date or time which aligns with your plans to visit the University, you are still welcome to take a self-guided tour of our campus.
If you are an International Foundation student, please contact our ONCampus team to arrange a tour directly with them.
If you are interested in studying a postgraduate course at our London campus, please visit our website to request a tour of our London facilities.
What to expect during an international visitor campus tour
Your tour will be run by one of our friendly Student Ambassadors, who will guide your group around the highlights of our stunning Loughborough campus. The tour will take approximately 2 hours, during which you will be able to see our world-class teaching and sporting facilities, the student village and green open spaces.
Groups are limited to one prospective student plus up to two guests, so there will be plenty of opportunities to ask any questions you may have about the student experience at Loughborough.
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your tour booking time at the Hazlerigg Building on the Loughborough University campus, where you will be greeted by one of our Student Ambassadors.
If you want to arrive a little earlier and grab some refreshments before your tour, the Students' Union, located opposite the Hazlerigg Building, will be open where you can purchase hot and cold drinks and food.
Don’t forget to wear comfy shoes as our campus is big and our tours are on foot! If you or your guest have any accessibility requirements which you would like us to factor into your tour experience, please email us.
Guests
In order to be able to effectively manage the tours, guests are limited to a maximum of two guests per person. If you bring additional guests with you to the University, unfortunately, it will be unlikely they will be able to join the tour. However, they are welcome to enjoy the facilities available at the Students' Union or wander around the campus on a self-guided tour (the tours start and finish at the Hazlerigg Building so arrange to meet any extra guests back there at the end of the event).
Find out more about your subject
These tours do not include course specific information and it is not possible to show you inside academic departments during your tour due to teaching and reseach commitments.
You can browse our online prospectus, which has information about the undergraduate and postgraduate courses we offer, with contact details for the academic department you are interested in. We also have an extensive range of virtual tours where you can see inside many of our academic buildings and labs online.
Accommodation
Unfortunately, we are unable to take tour groups in to view our student accommodation. Our accommodation is currently full of our current students and so for health, safety and security reasons we aren’t able to take guests into their homes.
You can find out more about the accommodation options available to you on our dedicated accommodation website where you can take virtual tours of all 17 undergraduate halls we have on offer.
