Our applicant visit days are the perfect opportunity to get a feel for life and study at Loughborough University - and meet the staff and students who make Natural Sciences at Loughborough what it is.
Itinerary
Venue: West Park Teaching Hub
Even if you've visited campus before (for an Open Day or campus tour, perhaps) the applicant visit day is more focused on the Department and the course for which you've applied. You will be able to get more detailed information about the course from the staff that teach it.
You will also get to meet and chat to current students, including some from your subject area - enabling you to find out what it's really like at Loughborough!
We have a range of activities planned for both applicants and their guests. Below is an indicative itinerary; exact timings may vary on the day. You will receive your schedule for the day on arrival. Applicant activities are determined by either your preferred pathways or your response to the ‘Craft you Visit Day’ form which you received after applying.

Registration Register your attendance and receive your personalised schedule for the day. This is a great time to grab some refreshments from the Café and have a chat with some of our staff and current students in the exhibition space. |

Welcome and Programme Presentation Formal welcome talk about our Natural Sciences courses. This talk is more in-depth than our open day talks. Hear from our current students will tell you more about their own experiences at Loughborough, including student life and placements. |

Student Panel and 1:1 Discussion Small group chat with current students doing similar pathways to your interests. Personalised discussion about your interests and pathways with an academic.
Bioscience Lab Session Several mini-labs centred around biosciences, including interdisciplinary applications.
Chemistry Lab Session Don a lab coat and goggles for a quick but colourful chemistry experiment.
Physics Lab Session Demonstrations of some undergraduate style physics experiments.
Campus Tour Take a tour of campus to see the from a current student’s perspective. |
