Employers information
New for January 2026, we are delighted to announce our Futures Festival: A unique opportunity to engage directly with our students and raise your brand profile during a period dedicated to career-readiness.
We have created an exciting programme of hackathons, employer events, hands-on Grand Challenges, career-readiness workshops and much more spread over the week of Monday 26 – Friday 30 January 2026. The week has been timetabled to remain clear so that students can focus on meeting employers and developing their skills.
Be the first to get involved! We are actively seeking employers to contribute to our programme of events and in return can offer packages that provide:
- Key visibility to all students through branding on marketing and communications.
- A company stand at key flagship event(s).
- Active involvement in workshop(s) of choice.
- Promotional email to student cohorts of your choice.
And that’s not all – following this dedicated week, there will be further opportunities through Monday 2 – Friday 20 February 2026 to come onto campus to meet our talented students and promote your brand.
We’d love to talk to you! To find out more, please get in touch.
What events and activities can employers get involved in?
We are keen to involve employers in many of the workshops, activities and sessions – what better way to meet our talented students while providing practical help that will develop their knowledge and skills, setting them up for their future careers.
Below are some suggested activities – other ideas welcome!
Interview training
Help to develop your future talent pipeline with this session that aims to offer practical advice and an opportunity for students to practice interview techniques in a relaxed and friendly environment, whilst receiving valuable feedback from employers. A short introduction to your organisation, along with tips and advice on how to be successful in interviews will also be included.
Pre-Placement preparation
Share your top tips and advice on how to apply, secure and prepare for a placement year including insights into what skills and experience employers look for during their recruitment process. A short introduction to your organisation and placement opportunities available will also be included.
Mock assessment exercise
Experience the talent and abilities of our students by delivering a realistic group exercise of your choice with around 12-15 students. A short introduction to your organisation, along with tips and advice on how to be successful in assessment centres, will also be included (online and in-person options). Mock assessments may involve more than one employer.
Industry-based project briefs
Collaborate with students on a real-world industry scenario, that your business is facing, to gain insightful outcomes that can directly benefit your organisation. Teams of students receive a live project brief from you, the employer (1 unique brief/organisation per team) and work remotely and collaboratively to research and present recommendations to you in a professional final report.
“Careers in…”
Provide an insight into your industry area and company including the benefits of working for your business. Outline opportunities for placements or graduates and their development pathways.
Packages available
Employers can get involved in one or more activity, event or workshop each of which we have incorporated into a package to make a real impact, increase engagement and raise your profile. We are also happy to collaborate with you to create a combination of alternative activities – just get in touch and we’ll be happy to talk it through.
