This workshop gives participants the opportunity to build an efficient search strategy and explore advanced search techniques features, resulting in confidence in conducting a comprehensive search

This session builds on the ‘Planning your search’ course and will enable participants to use advanced search techniques to develop and refine their search. The course will explore various search techniques such as keyword, subject heading and citation searching. Specific techniques to retrieve relevant research will also be investigated, for example, proximity searching and nesting. Participants will be able to practice on a range of subject-specific databases and will gain confidence in finding research material in an effective and efficient manner using the resources available to you at Loughborough University, but also in the future too.
