Information on how you can travel around the UK once you settle here.

Public Transport - Trains

Loughborough has a train station, which has regular trains to London and to the north. You can find out details of trains to and from Loughborough on the National Rail website.

Public Transport – Buses

The local bus company is called Kinchbus and details of their bus routes is available on their website, including the ‘Sprint’ bus which travels regularly from campus into town and to the train station.

Driving in the UK

If you wish to drive in the UK, you will need to ensure that you have a driving licence that allows you to do so. This will depend on where your licence was issued. You can find out more from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA)’s website.

Please be aware that in the UK, a driver and all passengers must wear seatbelts. There are also strict laws against drinking alcohol and driving and against using a mobile phone or other electronic devices whilst driving.
