Join us for an evening dedicated to celebrating the contributions, creativity, and impact of Black female academics at Loughborough University.
This event aims to foster a strong sense of belonging and community, creating a welcoming space where attendees can connect, share experiences, and build supportive professional relationships. It also seeks to increase the visibility of Black women’s research and to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration across the University.
What to expect:
- Networking posters, showcasing academic journeys, research interests, and areas of expertise
- Small-group networking discussions designed to support connection, mentorship, and collaboration
- A thematic reading list, developed in collaboration with Library Services, spotlighting research by and about Black women in academia
- Opportunities to contribute to shared outputs and post-event resources
This event is open to Black women undertaking research and/or teaching across all disciplines at Loughborough University and offers a relaxed, supportive environment for networking, reflection, and collaboration.
