Sepehr (Sepi) did both his bachelor's and master's in sport and exercise science with an ongoing interest in using exercise for a healthy life. His PhD research focuses on the effect of exercise on the immune system of patients living with axial spondyloarthritis, aiming to provide more accurate exercise guidelines that help these patients improve their quality of life and manage their symptoms. He is also interested in the effect of exercise on the ageing of the immune system and the use of exercise for healthy aging. Current projects that he is involved in are looking at this phenomenon in rheumatic conditions, cognitive impairments, cancer, and diabetes.
