Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)
Dynamic collaborations between businesses, graduates and academics are essential to driving innovation. That’s exactly what a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) offers – a three-way collaboration designed to help your organisation grow, innovate and compete.
What is a KTP?
KTPs are a UK-wide programme, funded by Innovate UK, that connects organisations with university expertise and graduate talent. A graduate, supported by an academic team, joins your organisation to deliver a project of strategic importance – typically lasting one to three years.
Projects can cover areas such as:
Developing new products or services
Expanding into new markets
Improving processes or business models
Driving efficiency, sustainability and performance
Applying advanced research to solve complex challenges
Why partner with us?
At the UK SCALE Centre, we combine cutting-edge supply chain research, real-world expertise and global perspective to make KTPs deliver meaningful impact. We’ll:
- Work with you to scope and define your project
- Match you with the researchers and graduates whose expertise best fits your needs
- Support your funding application and delivery through Innovate UK
Together, we create solutions that are not just innovative — but practical, applied and transformative.
