Henry completed his MPhys at Hull University, with a final year project on Ultrafast Laser Heating. He begins his PhD in January 2025, under the supervision of Dr Jenny Spiga and Dr Sarah Bugby. His work will focus on the simulation of Inverse Compton Scattering sources for use in radiotherapy. He will look into the use of these new sources for Microbeam Radiation Therapy (MRT), a promising pre-clinical technique that is currently carried out with synchrotrons. Henry's work will contribute to the international effort of translating MRT to clinical settings.
