Loughborough Sport is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with iron supplement brand Active Iron, ahead of the new academic year.

The latest agreement will see Active Iron continue to work closely with Loughborough Sport as part of a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and community engagement across and beyond campus.

The collaboration also supports joint ambitions in areas of research into Iron supplementation working in conjunction with academics from the university’s School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences.

Active Iron will continue to form a key part of Loughborough Sport’s Support Services, specifically being recommended during post-blood service consultations on low Iron levels.

Andrew Shepherd, Performance Nutrition Lead, Loughborough University, said: “Active Iron has been a valued partner of Loughborough Sport over the past year, supporting our Performance Nutrition team and athletes. We are thrilled to renew this partnership.

“Its continued work and research into iron levels, and how this helps both wellbeing and performance, is crucial to helping athletes achieve at the highest level, something that we all strive for here at Loughborough Sport.”

Claire Lynch, Head of Marketing at Active Iron said: "We’re delighted to be renewing our partnership with Loughborough Sport, a leading institution known for its pursuit of excellence across all areas of athletic performance.

“At Active Iron, we’re passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of athletes through optimum nutrition, and this collaboration reflects our shared commitment to helping athletes perform at their best."
