Independent climate advisors have warned the UK government that the country must be prepared to cope with weather extremes associated with at least 2°C of global warming by 2050. Professor Rob Wilby, an expert in climate risks and hydroclimatic modelling, warns that actual temperatures experienced—particularly in urban areas—will feel significantly higher and pose even greater risks to human life.
