Sir Jonathon Porritt CBE was in attendance to present the awards, and delivered a lecture earlier in the day which explored energy research priorities and considered how best to disseminate key outcomes.

As well as providing examples of exciting energy research currently underway at Loughborough, the afternoon also featured a panel discussion of expert speakers, including Professor Simon Watson, Dr Victoria Haines and Professor Rob Wilby.

The University’s Academic Lead for Energy, Professor Kevin Lomas, says of the awards: “The Energy Medals awards evening showcased the exceptional, ground-breaking work conducted at the University and recognised the achievements of our talented and dedicated researchers.”
