Loughborough University rises in The Complete University Guide

Loughborough University has risen to 13th out of 123 universities in the Complete University Guide 2015, published today (12 May), comfortably retaining its place as the East Midlands’ top ranked university.

Loughborough has also been rated in the top ten in the country in 12 subject areas, with a top place ranking in the Building table.

Vice Chancellor Professor Robert Allison said he was delighted by Loughborough’s performance in The Complete University Guide.

“Our rise in this year’s table and the fact that we have so many of our subjects rated in the top ten is recognition of the breadth of Loughborough’s strengths and our excellence right across the board.

“It is a reflection of the quality of education we offer, our world-class research and innovation, and the exceptional all-round student experience we provide at the University,” he commented.

The main university table in The Complete University Guide is based on ten measures – student satisfaction, research assessment, entry standards, staff/student ratio, spending on academic services, spending on student facilities, good honours degrees achieved, graduate prospects, completion and overseas student enrolments.

The subject tables are based on four criteria – student satisfaction, research assessment, entry standards, and graduate prospects.

The full league table, methodology and further information about the guide are available on The Complete University Guide website.
