Create & Connect: Embroider a tote bag with words of empowerment

Celebrate International Women’s Day by embroidering positive words to create a one-of-a-kind tote bag. Arts worker Holly Sykes will teach you some basic stitches and help guide you through the process. Take away your unique bag at the end of the session to keep for yourself or gift to someone.

This workshop is beginner-friendly and all materials are provided.

Weaving together her own experiences of migration from Hong Kong to the UK playwright and actor Phoebe Chan explores the struggles and discoveries that come with starting anew.

Join Laura Crawford for some Wednesday afternoon Zumba®!

This is a high-energy class, so wear whatever you feel comfortable exercising in. Please ensure you bring something to drink as there isn’t a water fountain in the studio itself.

Zumba® brings people together through group exercise classes that blend rhythmic Latin music with high-intensity cardio dance moves. Get a full-body workout while forgetting you're even exercising by joining the Zumba® dance party!

Wellbeing Walk to Bom Bom Patisserie - Maia members only

Maia members are invited to a wellbeing walk for International Women's Day. Starting at EHB forecourt and walking to BomBom Patisserie at Derwent Drive, this is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other members, nature and enjoy a free Bom Bom cookie.

This event is limited to 30 people.

Himalayan Singing Bowl Sound Healing session - Maia members only

This is a relaxing wellbeing session which can help tune your mind, body, and spirit in a harmonious state where one can experience inner peace and joy.

The session, led by Dora Pratley-To, will begin with a short, seated meditation followed by 45 minutes of lying down. Not suitable for pregnant people and those with certain medical conditions.

You will need to bring a yoga mat, blanket and a pillow or cushion.
