Creative Health Series: Table Method Drawing Workshop
- 26 March 2025
- 12pm-2pm
- Chaplaincy
For Loughborough University staff and postgraduate students only (PGT and PGR)
About the workshop
Discover the table method of drawing with artist and researcher Dr. Yonat Nitzan-Green. Everyone will sit round a large table, which will be covered in black and white paper with drawing materials, objects and tools arranged in the centre.
This workshop is part of LU Arts’ Creative Health Series for staff and postgraduate students. Curated by Gussi Philippou, this is a year-long journey of six workshops led by artists from different creative backgrounds and will culminate in an exhibition. Over the year, they will explore how creative practices can boost health and wellbeing through three core themes: Flow Theory, Community and Sustainability.
Accessibility
If you have any specific access requirements or anything you would like LU Arts to be aware of when running the event, please let them know via the booking form or email LUArts@lboro.ac.uk.
About Yonat Nitzan-Green
Yonat makes 3D flexible drawings using graphite powder and latex. These drawings are defined as ‘membrane-drawings’. The drawings relate to the maternal body, positioned within a dialogue between surfaces.
Yonat has been living in the UK for over thirty years where she built her family. She was born and raised in Kibbutz Heftzi-Bah, Israel. The kibbutz’s communal life has shaped and informed her world view, from the way she thinks about family to her art practice, including collaborations with artists and groups both within the University and beyond. She is fascinated by the potential that lays in the relationship between drawing and conversation and would like to share the Table Method with students and staff at Loughborough University.
