LGBT+ History Month: Illumination

Illumination is the keynote celebration for LGBT+ History Month at Loughborough University. This is an opportunity to recognise the current challenges faced by the LGBT+ community and celebrate the work of those who have gone before us, to fight for the rights of others. Whilst things are far from perfect at the moment, they were much worse.

The celebratory event will begin with speeches from the University senior leadership, the LGBT+ Students Association Chair and the LGBT+ Staff Network Chair. Awards will be presented to individuals chosen by network members to recognise their hard work and finally, we will step outside to watch the Hazlerigg building illuminated with rainbow colours.

Food will be available and the bar will be open. We look forward to seeing you there!
