Bradie McDaid, EDI Coordinator
I’m Bradie, the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator within EDI Services. I lead on the coordination and delivery of EDI activity to develop and consolidate the growing EDI community at the University in alignment with the EDI strategy. This includes providing professional support for EDI related working groups, committees and staff networks, aiding EDI Charter work, planning events, delivering communications and so much more.
I have worked at Loughborough since January 2024. Prior to joining the university, I held various roles within the Higher Education and charity sectors, with a strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion. As an Advice and Wellbeing Coordinator at De Montfort Students’ Union, I worked to provide support and guidance to students in challenging circumstances. I also led the Student Opportunities team there, managing and expanding initiatives designed to enhance student life and volunteering experiences.
My diverse background has equipped me with a unique perspective, a wealth of knowledge, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs within different communities. These are valuable in EDI work, enabling me to foster environments where diversity is celebrated, and all individuals can thrive.
