Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a three-way project - bringing together a recent graduate, a business and a university.

Addressing the problem of wind turbine interference

We partnered Trelleborg in a KTP to address wind turbine radar interference. Our solution will allow wind farms to be built closer to airports, military bases and weather stations that rely on radar – supporting the progress of sustainable energy generation.

Lasting between 12 months and three years, a KTP is an ideal way to access the innovative ideas and embed the expertise of our research and development staff into your organisation.

A KTP can help your organisation to develop new products or services, achieve business expansion and performance improvement.

We help organisations identify the appropriate research expertise and then work closely with you and the academic team to define the project and apply for Government funding.

For the graduate, participating in a KTP as a KTP Associate gives you the opportunity to manage and deliver a challenging strategic project. You’ll gain invaluable skills, get access to in-service professional development and a competitive salary.

If you are a graduate interested in current KTP Associate vacancies, please visit the KTP website and register your interest.
