I completed my BA(Hons) in Mathematics with Russian Studies, followed by my PGCE Secondary Mathematics and MEd Teaching Studies at the University of Birmingham. Teaching maths since 2004, I have worked in schools in Birmingham and Worcestershire, have been head of maths and a national maths lead, and am now director of curriculum at a large multi academy trust.
I am the author of books for teachers and students, I present at teaching and learning conferences, I occasionally write for education magazines and I blog about maths education. I am also a Chair of the Mathematical Association.
