Biography
I have previously worked on research projects such as "The ONE" at The University of Sheffield in collaboration with Oxford University. This project is a large-scale randomised control trial funded by the Education Endowment Foundation which aims to investigate early maths development and executive function skills in pre-school children. It also aims to build an evidence base for how to best support early maths by training practitioners and equipping them with resources to use in their classroom.
I have also worked on the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership for Childhood Deafness and Hearing Loss at Lancaster University in collaboration with the National Deaf Children's Society, The University of Manchester, and Aston University. The aim of the project is to explore research priorities for children and young people with deafness and hearing loss across the UK. My main role was working on the in-person patient public involvement (PPI) focus groups, with children and young people who have lived experience of deafness and hearing loss, led by the PELICAN Lab at Lancaster University.
I am currently working within the Centre for Early Mathematics Learning (CEML) for 'Challenge 1' on a large-scale longitudinal study investigating how children’s numerical skills develop between the ages of 3 and 4.
