We are based in S-Building where you’ll find most of our cutting-edge, specialist laboratory and processing facilities. It’s also home to our Materials Characterisation Centre (LMCC).
Polymer Processing Mezzanine
This newly constructed mezzanine floor area houses a range of testing and computer simulation facilities that complement our processing machinery located in the processing laboratory beneath.
Polymer Process Laboratory
Equipped with a range of industrial and pilot scale polymer processing machinery this is one of the best facilities of its kind at a UK university and teaches the processing technology that lies behind the majority of plastic objects and components in today's world.
Computer Laboratory
Our specialist software packages facilitate design, modelling and simulation work – supporting rapid and accurate solution development.
