Terms of reference

Purpose:

To promote a positive working culture and collegiate environment that supports and mainstreams ED&I values within the School and the University.

Responsibilities:

  • To promote the sharing of best practices, informed by research, across the School, supporting the ED&I agenda among students and staff.
  • To lead the activities aimed at obtaining, maintaining and enhancing Athena SWAN, Race Equality Charter, and similar relevant ED&I recognition  
  • To develop and implement relevant ED&I policies and procedures contributing towards the overall School development strategy  
  • To facilitate effective and comprehensive ED&I related communications within the School.
  • To provide reports at the staff meeting and to the school senior leadership team when requested. 

Membership:

The members are appointed for a term of 3 years and are representative of all job families, job levels/ grades, and student populations.
