Connecting you to Career Success

Gain valuable experience of work

All our undergraduate courses offer the option to experience a year in industry. Every year record numbers of employers recruit Loughborough students for placements, internships and work experience, attracted to their wide-ranging skills, adaptability and determination to succeed.

Secure inspiring employment on graduation

Our graduate-level employment outcomes are consistently above the national average. The opportunities and support provided by the University can help you to achieve your best, because we pay just as much attention to your future potential as we do to your student experience.

Connect with leading employers

We have excellent links with a large number of high-profile employers, as well as an ever-increasing number of smaller and medium sized organisations who value students and graduates with the ‘Loughborough experience’. They like the range of extracurricular activities that students here have engaged in, as well as the quality of their academic courses. Many employers are also involved in the design and delivery of our degree programmes.

Attend our leading employer events

As well as one of the largest university careers fairs in the UK, we hold sector-specific events, involving employers and Loughborough alumni, to help our students make valuable connections and secure high-quality placements and graduate roles.

Work while you study

There are a number of benefits of working part-time while you study including earning an extra income, enhancing your CV, experiencing different job sectors and networking with employers. At Loughborough, we have a number of flexible opportunities for part time work on campus, such as working in the Students' Union or as one of our student ambassadors. You could also consider working in the town or further afield. Regardless of where you decide to secure part-time work, we're here to support you if you need it.

Achieve your personal best

Being a Loughborough student is about so much more than the few years you’ll spend here with us. We want you to move on with the skills, confidence and capability needed for a rewarding career. So built into every degree course is the unique development programme Personal Best which provides a unique framework of key skills and competencies to prepare you for life as a Loughborough graduate. It presents the skills and behaviours that you will be encouraged to develop in various ways, identifying opportunities to develop, recognise and better articulate your skills and attributes.
