Programme information

The Transport Studies Group at Loughborough University has been teaching air transport programmes for over 40 years and has a long-standing international reputation for its air transport teaching and research.  This new programme has been developed in conjunction with highly experienced air transport industry personnel to ensure that it meets the latest needs of industry. 

You will be taught by leading academic experts, one of the core texts that will be used has been edited by two Loughborough academics.  In addition, industry guest speakers will contribute throughout the programme. 

The programme offers a critical, comprehensive and practical understanding of the structure and operation of the international air transport industry and equips students with a range of transferrable and analytical skills that can be applied in the workplace.

Entry qualifications

Minimum of an upper second class honours degree in transport, geography, engineering, economics, management or a related discipline from a UK University. Equivalent overseas qualifications and relevant industrial experience will also be considered.

How you will learn

You will learn through a combination of taught modules delivered over two semesters comprising lectures, small group sessions and associated assessment.  In addition, you will devise and undertake a self-directed air transport dissertation under the guidance of an academic member of staff. This provides you with an opportunity to pursue a particular interest in more detail and potentially tailor your study to a specific future career.

Tuition fees cover the cost of your teaching, assessment and operating University facilities such as the library, IT equipment and other support services. The standard tuition fees for this course are:
