Jon Walker, chair of the assessor panel for the Community Donations Fund comments:

“We are extremely pleased that we can support the large amount of charity and volunteer work that is carried out in and around Loughborough in this way. The projects that we have provided funding to are all worthwhile causes and we look forward to seeing their progression.”

Money is awarded from the Community Donations Fund in four rounds of funding each academic year.  The Education Fund is the first to be awarded.  Later in the spring bids will be invited to the Open Fund, where there is no theme for the bids.  In the summer the University will invite bids from staff to the Inside Out Fund and cash from the Strategic Fund will be awarded by the University directly to a community group or groups following consultations with partner organisations.
