In this website you will find information about all the various strands of our work which include: 

  • designing and delivering nationally accredited programmes of professional development in teaching, particularly in support of staff new to teaching.  This includes a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) and the Associate Teaching Pathway (ATP).
  • overseeing an accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) framework which enables colleagues to gain recognition by the Higher Education Academy as Associate Fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow. This is branded as LUPE – the Loughborough University Portfolio of Evidence in Learning and Teaching.
  • managing the University’s Teaching Innovation and Research-informed Teaching Awards
  • assisting colleagues with e-learning and centrally-supported technologies, including Learn, Turnitin, Grademark, ReVIEW, Bristol Online Survey, Box of Broadcasts and Computer Assisted Assessment.
  • identifying and developing e-learning resources that promote effectiveness and efficiency in teaching and learning.
  • supporting or managing of a variety of University procedures and schemes, such as probation and promotion to senior lecturer and undertaking teaching-related assessments.
  • providing courses and workshops, covering all areas of academic practice (Research, Teaching and Enterprise)
  • working with the Graduate School to develop and deliver professional learning opportunities for postgraduate research students.
  • working with the Research Office to ensure provision of high quality CPD opportunities for research staff.
  • developing bespoke provision to meet school/department needs.
  • supporting developments linked to curriculum design and delivery at programme and module level
  • undertaking projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the learning experience of our students.
  • advising on, and evaluating, innovative approaches to learning and teaching
  • identifying and sharing effective practice
