First year undergraduate student

First Choice Undergraduate students only - (not applicable to Insurance and Clearing Students - please see our Frequently Asked Questions for further information).

Also applicable for First Semester and Full Year Erasmus or International Exchange students.

Stage 1 - During May, you should receive an email from the Student Accommodation Centre to advise you when and how to apply.  Please browse the halls using the Halls of Residence to familiarise yourself with the different accommodation options we can offer you. Please read the Prospective students information. It is important to read the Terms and Conditions of Occupancy before you proceed.

Stage 2 - During the application process you will be given the option to reserve a specific room type in a hall of your choice. You will be contracted to a room; therefore you can concentrate on your studies knowing that your chosen room is waiting for you. (This contract can be cancelled if your academic place at Loughborough University is not confirmed.)

If the room of your choice is not available at the time or you do not wish to commit to a contract at this point, you can register a preference for accommodation. We will then offer you a room via email once your place at Loughborough has been confirmed.  Please note that although many rooms do come back available after the A Level results, we cannot guarantee that your preferential room type will be available at this time.

Please do not worry if the room of your choice is not available to reserve in advance - register a preference and wait until after your results!

Stage 3 - Click on the "Accommodation Login" tab on this page and follow the instructions.

You will then be taken through the following steps.

You will need to complete an Online Induction and book your Arrival Slot prior to your arrival.

Distance selling reguations

Completing your booking by accepting your accommodation offer will create a contract between you and the University, so it is important you understand the commitment you will be making and ask for advice if you think you need it. There is a link to our Terms and Conditions from most pages on the online booking system.

Everyone has the right to a cooling-off period, but you must send us your cancellation by post, fax or email to arrive no later than the eighth working day after you accept the offer of accommodation online.
