Work for us
Central to Loughborough University’s strategy is investing in our staff, and we see the development of Research Leaders as pivotal in the success of the University.
Through the Research Leaders programme, we support research and academic staff across career levels. This can include structured support to staff for career progression and development, and applications for targeted funding schemes.
We aim to nurture our existing early career stars and attract the best new ones to Loughborough, as well as ensuring that those at more advanced career stages have the support necessary to be successful. We provide coordinated support and training for Vice-Chancellor's Research Fellows, and other, externally-funded, Research Fellows at Loughborough. In coordination with the Research Office, senior academics involved in the programme offer advice and support to both probationary and mid-career academics, helping them make the next step to the professorial grade. Where appropriate, national and international external training is available to assist staff with their career progression.
The Research Leaders programme further supports academics across the career stages, in particular through the provision of structured and tailored support for applications for external prestigious fellowships, included funded chairs from learned societies and others.
If you are an external academic looking to join us at Loughborough through a particular fellowship scheme please contact Helen Tighe, who will be able to support you with your application.
