Exercise modalities and regulation

Regular exercise is key for long lasting health benefits. One factor to ensure that people keep doing an activity on a regular, voluntary basis is that they actually like doing it. We investigate whether we can adapt classical exercise programmes to more varied, enjoyable exercise without compromising on health benefits.

Projects

  • Enjoyable exercise: how to adapt exercise protocols so people keep doing exercise?
  • Self-regulation of exercise in Paralympic sports
  • Self-regulation of exercise for various exercise modalities
  • A practice trial to help with the self-regulation of exercise using feeling scales
