Dimitrios studied Maths at Birmingham University, graduating with an MSc in 2007. He later completed an MSc in Sports Biomechanics at Loughborough University in 2011, and then went on to study for a PhD in Sports Biomechanics under the supervision of Dr Matthew Pain, from which he graduated in December 2016.
Subsequently, Dimirios worked as a Research Associate in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, and later as a University Teacher.
Dimitrios's research is focused on the study of neuromuscular function using both experimental and theoretical means with the aim of improving human movement in both sport and everyday life. Recently, he has also been studying the behaviour of soft tissue during high impact activities.
