Outstanding results were achieved in the last Research Assessment Exercise (RAE 2008), which assessed Loughborough as the best in the UK for sports-related studies and commended the School's world-leading research.

Our nationally and internationally renowned staff continue to collaborate globally with other academic institutions, centres and industry partners to advance knowledge in the areas of sport, exercise, health and wellbeing. It is this academic expertise which informs teaching across the School’s highly competitive undergraduate, postgraduate taught and doctoral programmes.
