The Department has a vibrant and friendly research environment, with over 30 research students, fully supported by expert staff in a wide number of subject areas.

The Department has been recognised by the Economic and Social Research Council for research training, both for '1+3' and for '+3' students. Potential applicants for ESRC studentships are welcomed.
