I'm a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Loughborough University. I joined the department in September 2013; before that I had postdoc positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Leibniz Universität Hannover. I finished my Ph.D. in 2009 at the University of Cambridge, under the supervision of Burt Totaro.

My research interests are in algebraic geometry, studying the interplay between the algebra of polynomial equations and the geometry of their solution sets. More specifically, I work on questions related to positivity properties of divisors and subvarieites, and their connections to birational geometry.
