Darren Woolf

  • Visiting Professor in Building Physics Engineering

Darren Woolf is the Head of Building Physics at Wirth Research. In this role, he supports, develops, and promotes building physics best practices, R&D, and skills & services across the firm. He’s been a Visiting Professor in the Building Energy Research Group at Loughborough University for over 10 years, chairs CIBSE’s Building Simulation Group, and also chairs an initiative between CIBSE’s Resilient Cities Group and the ICE-affiliated UK Wind Engineering Society called UK Urban Environmental Quality Partnership.

Recently he completed a two-year research project called AIRBODS in partnership with six universities led by Loughborough University which published their guidance on airborne infection resilience in March 2023.
