Helen Steel (Director of Diagnostics and Clinical Microbiology at GlaxoSmithKline) will give a pre-dinner talk titled at a private dinner on the evening of 20th June.

Herman Goossens (chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance)

Research leads from a number of Loughborough research teams will be invited to share initial project ideas around various topics, including: respiratory, UTI, and wound infections.  We will then have several rounds of interactive consortium building/discussions/ feedback sessions to try and shape these ideas or indeed come up with better ones.

We will have good representation from problem owners i.e. a number of clinical consultants and surgeons covering respiratory, UTI, and wound infections.  We are delighted that we will also have representatives from EPSRC and InnovateUK.
