Behaviour

Behaviour within and beyond the healthcare setting

The aim of this theme is to elucidate the underpinning motivations for human behaviours relating to the spread of AMR infectious microorganisms in the healthcare environment and the community; evaluate interventions to control/prevent the spread of resistant bacteria; understand behaviours of patients and healthcare providers in antibiotic prescribing, treatment seeking patterns and antibiotic stewardship. Qualitative and quantitative approaches are applied to these aims.
