We have been teaching courses in engineering since 1909 and are one of the largest engineering universities in the UK.

100 years of women engineers
In 1919, four female engineering students were admitted onto otherwise entirely male dominated engineering programmes at the then Loughborough Technical College. 100 years on, Loughborough University now welcomes and celebrates many female engineers every year.
