Loughborough Lightning is the premier Netball Super League side in the East Midlands, proudly competing at the highest level of domestic netball in the UK. As one of the founding teams of the Netball Super League, Lightning has built a strong reputation for excellence, development, and performance, consistently competing among the best for over two decades.
In recent years, Lightning has solidified its place as a dominant force in the league, reaching the final four in each of the past five seasons. This includes four consecutive Grand Final appearances and three championship victories in 2024, 2023, and 2021. With a commitment to high-performance sport and athlete development, Lightning continues to inspire the next generation of netball players through its elite squad, academy pathways, and community initiatives.
Based at Loughborough University, a world-renowned hub for sporting excellence, Lightning benefits from top-tier facilities, expert coaching, and an environment that nurtures both talent and teamwork. Our squad features some of the best national and international players, all striving to push the boundaries of the sport while engaging with fans and the wider netball community.
