Performance Development Programmes (PDPs)
Under 16 PDP (North and South)
As of the 2025/26 season, our Academy now delivers a PDP in the north and in the south of our territory.
We replaced our U17 PDP with an U16 PDP North Academy. This Academy saw a small number of training partners selected for the upcoming season to train alongside our U17 NPL squads for the season.
We then announced our inaugural U16 PDP South Academy programme, based at Stowe School. This programme ran on a Monday evening and established Loughborough Lightning’s first Academy programme in North Buckingham and serviced the performance demands within the south of our territory.
Our U16 PDP Academies for 2026/27 season will be selected in September 2027. For more details visit our eligibility and trials page.
