The leadership duo will guide the squad into the new season, combining experience, consistency and a shared commitment to driving standards both on and off court.
Panagarry continues in a leadership role having previously captained Lightning through a historic period of success, including back-to-back Netball Super League titles. A composed and influential presence through the midcourt, she has been central to Lightning’s identity in recent seasons.
Durant steps into the co-captaincy following her continued development as a key figure within the squad. Known for her work rate, defensive intensity and vocal presence on court, she has grown into a respected leader within the group.
Together, the pair represent both the heritage and future ambition of the club, reinforcing Lightning’s focus on collective accountability and high performance.
Head Coach, Vic Burgess is thrilled to have Nat Panagarry and Beth Durant as co-captains for the 2026 season,
“Both Nat and Beth embody everything we stand for at Loughborough Lightning, professionalism, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
They bring complementary leadership styles, immense experience, and a deep understanding of our culture.
We’re confident they’ll inspire the group, drive standards on and off the court, and lead us forward with clarity and passion as we head into an exciting new season.”
