By halftime, Lightning had secured a seven-goal lead, which they could maintain until the end of the match due to a clinical display in the attacking end. Lightning saw a record 93% shooting success, only missing four shots throughout the game.
Goal shooter Samantha Wallace-Joseph scored the most for the team with 32 goals, which earned her the Experience Kissimmee Player of the Match nomination.
Berri Neil was also voted the fans' LTS player of the match, a true reflection of the Lightnings' dominance in attack on Saturday.
Our defence was strongly led by Alice Harvey, who showed high levels of resilience throughout the match, making crucial interceptions and blocking attacking options for Cardiff Dragons.
The match on Saturday also saw a debut for Lightning NXT Gen defender, Molly Hole.
The victory secured Lightning’s place in the top 4 and a chance to compete at the Grand Final at the O2 Arena on Sunday 6th July.
