Following several departures over the summer, the fixture provides players with an early opportunity to stake their claim for a place in the 2026/27 squad.
After securing their Tier 3 status in dramatic fashion with a 6-0 victory over Sporting Khalsa on the final day of last season, Lightning will be looking to build on the strong foundations established during their first campaign back in the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division.
Luton Town have also undergone changes ahead of the new season, appointing Dan Bolesta as their new manager. Bolesta brings experience from coaching across both Tier 3 and Tier 4 of the women's game. The club has also welcomed former player Sarah Hudson as General Manager following her retirement from playing.
Last season, Luton finished seventh in the FA Women's National League Division One South East, recording seven wins, six draws, and nine defeats.
As preparations for the new season continue, supporters can still take advantage of the Early Bird Season Ticket offer.
