Loughborough Lightning U21s

Loughborough Lightning U21 have been formed ahead of the 2026/27 season, with the FAWNL launching the new Development League to replace the former FAWNL Reserve League.

The creation of the league provides an exciting opportunity to establish a clear development pathway for emerging players across the Loughborough University football programme, as well as talented young female footballers from Loughborough and the surrounding area.

The aim is to support players in making the transition from academy and youth football into the senior game.

Loughborough Lightning U21 home fixtures are played at the Holywell Sports Complex on the Loughborough University campus, on either Pitch 3 or Pitch 4. All matches are free to attend, with spectators welcome throughout the season.
