To confirm and sign, subject to any correction, the minutes of the third meeting held on 14 May 1996.
To note the relevant Minute of the Teaching and Learning Committee; that the issue was further discussed at the meeting of the TLC Steering Group on 18 September 1996; and that the AD(T) of SSH has been requested to bring forward revised proposals to the next meeting of the Steering Group.

To consider proposals from the Department of European Studies for the introduction of a new stream to facilitate the entry of students without A level German or equivalent.
Secretary's Note:
Exceptionally, these proposals have already been approved in principle by the Chair of the Sub-Committee and by the PVC(T) on behalf of the Teaching and Learning Committee to facilitate inclusion in the Undergraduate Prospectus for 1998 entry, but subject to further discussion of the detail.
Further to previous discussions, to consider proposals from the College for additions to its portfolio of degree programmes to be validated by the University.
To review current documentation in the light of experience over the last session and recent discussions in the TLC Steering Group.
To ratify action taken by the Chair on behalf of the Sub-Committee in recommending to Teaching and Learning Committee the redesignation of the `Consortium MBA' as a `Corporate MBA' with revised programme regulations consolidated with those for the part-time variants of the MBA based in Loughborough and in Peterborough; and also to note that the Operations Sub-Committee has approved a revised programme costing associated with this development.
