PhD Research student exploring social worker risk assessments and the impact on interactions with children in care. Previously working in specialist child protection team supporting young people who have been sexually exploited and missing young people. Employed in the youth work sectors for over ten years in numerous specialisms and extensive work with looked after and vulnerable adolescents.
Annabel has recently completed MSc dissertation in the area of future technology with child protection, continuing in PhD research to explore how risk assessments impact social worker interactions with looked after children. Interests in youth justice, children in care, the future of social work, children’s rights and automation in the care sector.
