Richard joined the university in 2013 as a Laboratory Technician in the Department of Chemistry. He joined Geography & Environment a little over a year later and was appointed Laboratory Manager in 2015.
Richard spent 13 years as an organic research chemist before a career change took him into chemical sourcing. Here he progressed to a global managerial role before joining the university.
Richard combines his wealth of laboratory and management experience in the laboratory manager role, ensuring all field and laboratory research and teaching activities are supported effectively.
Richard is also the safety officer for Geography & Environment.
