  • Dr. Troncoso is a Research Associate at the Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) Programme. She has 15 years of experience in research on clean cooking, with a focus on technology adoption, energy and health policy, and monitoring and evaluation. She has as well expertise in fieldwork, stakeholder perspectives, qualitative analyses, and impact assessment. Dro Troncoso is bilingual Spanish/English. Before joining MECS, she worked for the Pan-American Health Organization / World Health Organisation on Indoor Air Quality at the Climate Change and Environmental Determinants of Health Unit. 

    Dr Troncoso joined in October 2020 the Modern Energy Cooking Services Programme at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities. She will be working mainly in Nepal and Nigeria.

    Before joining MECS, Dr. Troncoso contributed to the development of the Household Energy Assessment Rapid Tool (HEART), a toolkit of the World Health Organisation to facilitate inter-sectoral approaches to advance access to clean cooking technologies, and applied it in several countries.
