Investigating the sensitivity of dune slacks to climate change and eutrophication.

Research

Dune slacks are coastal wetland habitats that are rich in biodiversity. They are sensitive to environmental and human disturbances such as coastal erosion, rising sea levels and pollution, due to the strong relationship between hydrology and ecology. Her PhD research project aims to investigate this relationship to predict future changes to this habitat, opening up further avenues of research for other wetland communities that are under threat and in decline.
