Campus tours are the perfect opportunity to see our beautiful campus and find out more about what life is like here at Loughborough.
What to expect
Each tour begins with a short welcome talk, so that you can hear a little more about what Loughborough University has to offer. The staff member leading the session will be more than happy to answer any questions or queries that you might have about applying to, or studying at Loughborough. After the talk, you’ll be divided into groups to look round the campus. The tours will be on foot and will take approximately 60 minutes – don’t forget to wear comfy shoes!
The talk will not include information on specific subject areas and it will not be possible to give tours of our academic departments at this time. Further information about our undergraduate courses can be found online.

In light of the recent Government guidance, we are currently reviewing our intended plans to resume campus tours in October. The safety of our community and visitors remains our number one priority and we are looking at how our campus tour activities now fits within the new legislation. If you would like to be kept up to date with our plans moving forward, you can sign up for email alerts here.
If you are travelling by car and using a satnav, please use postcode LE11 3TU to get to campus. For further information on how to find us and travelling to the University please visit our website. If you are travelling to us via public transport please remember you are required to wear a mask or face-covering whilst onboard. If you are arriving by train into Loughborough station please note that the normal university bus service to bring you to campus is not currently operational due to the coronavirus pandemic. Taxi services are available from outside the station or, if you would prefer to walk, campus is approximately half an hour away on foot.
Travelling to the UK
Travel restrictions are still in place for a number of countries within the EU and further afield. If you live outside of the UK please check the websites of your home country and the UK Government for the latest information and regulations with regards to travel and self-isolation on arrival in the UK before booking a place on a tour or making any travel arrangements.
When you arrive
Upon arrival at the University please make your way to the Hazlerigg & Rutland Fountain on the east side of campus to register for the event. Free parking is available onsite in a number of car parks nearby including the car parks for the Haslegrave Building and the Schofield Building.
If you want to arrive a little earlier and grab some lunch before your tour, a pop-up food outlet will be available right by our outdoor registration hub at the Hazlerigg & Rutland Fountain where you can purchase hot and cold drinks and food. There are benches and grass areas around the fountain where you can sit down to eat your food.
We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable during their visit with us. Hand sanitiser will be provided for all visitors to use and we are limiting tour group sizes to comply with government guidelines. Social distancing measures have been implemented and we would ask that all visitors follow these procedures whilst on campus with us.
