Janus Year 10 Event

We are pleased to announce we are taking school bookings for our on campus event on Tuesday 5 July 2022.
Janus is a brand new initiative dedicated to helping students to discover more about the real-world applications of engineering as well as dispelling common misconceptions and myths around working in the industry. The project hosts resources such as case studies, Janus Talks, webinars, lesson plans and resource boxes. This will all be accessible on our website which is coming soon.
This event is only open to school groups and we will not be taking individual bookings at this point. This event is completely free of charge.
This project is funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering.
What to expect
- A 15 minute talk delivered by an academic or industry expert about an integral and relevant engineering theme that represents the developments and progressions made in the sector over the past 50-100 years.
- An interactive research task where students will be given the opportunity to work alongside current Loughborough University students to research this topic to structure an argument for their perspective on the future of engineering whilst considering key factors such as ethics, environment, sustainability and the economy.
- A campus tour of our Loughborough University campus and facilities.
- An interactive task based session where students will be set a challege to complete in teams.
